I was born in Mexico, in Monterrey city. I always had this dream to dedicate my days to write literature: short stories, novels, poetry, name it. Since early in my life, I knew I would make everything in my will to become a writer.
What motivates me the most is to prevail in this world throughout my writings, leave a legacy not only to my family, but to all those who enjoy literature. In the bottom of my heart, I understood very young that I could study anything I desire, because at the end I would write about life, death, love, everything that my mind imagines.
Some people say the sky is the limit, but with words, you can actually create unthinkable worlds, so there is no limit at all. I decided to study as a profession: Industrial Design, to explode my creativity. Afterwards, I took a Master degree in Social Corporate Responsibility.
In 2017 I published my first novel in Mexico, written in Spanish “¿Cómo salir de la friendzone?” under Editorial Font. In 2024 I self-published my second book, a bilingual poetry book entitled “Poemas sobre maternidad, aislamiento, duelo y amor/ Poems about motherhood, isolation, grief, and love”.
Tell us a bit about the piece you previously published with the mill pages
The poem I wrote, entitled “Amalgamated feelings” which appears in Volume 2, Issue 1, pg. 13 of the Mill Pages magazine, has a profound meaning of how the pandemic we lived in 2020, forced me to find peace in poetry while surrounded by the bittersweet reality. It is full of sadness, nevertheless it ends with harmony.
I cursed Covid for taking away so many lives of people we loved, but at the same time I bless the pandemic too for not taking us. It was a moment in history, where we could all die, but surviving let us delved in true hope. I got myself immersed in poetry so that I could talk my feelings away and find a meaning to life.
With determined passion, I wrote it in Spanish and then translate it into English, giving the poem more liberty to reach a greater number of readers, keeping its innate essence. I wanted to show the readers how something so terrible and miserable can turn into the reason of wanting to submerge in literature. It is like a second chance to appreciate what saves our soul and really give it its value..

Do you have any final thoughts?
Follow what your heart dictates and you will always do the right thing. Don´t be afraid of sticking firm to your passion, that is what will trigger you to excel in anything you devote into. Everything in this world is possible, if you have faith in it.
When I was 16, I won a National contest in Mexico for writing an essay about Mexico´s Democracy. In 2018, I was awarded for my short story “Cristales de sal” in the contest organized by Desafios Literarios, publishing it in a book entitled “Crecimiento y Autoayuda”, in Madrid, Spain. I was invited in 2020 to read literary work in the “XXIX Jornadas Binacionales de Literatura (Binational Symposiums of Literature) Abigael Bohórquez”, an important forum for Chicano literature.
